DETAILED SCHEDULE
1st day
09:00h/14:00h Departure to the Amazônia Jungle Hotel can start in the morning or afternoon (there is the possibility of transfers at other times directly from the airport). The journey by car lasts around 45 minutes (via the bridge over Rio Negro) and another 5 minutes crossing in our motorized canoes equipped with life jackets. Upon arrival at the hotel, check-in takes place and a regional welcome juice is offered. A reconnaissance of the hotel is carried out accompanied by our guide, presenting the fruit trees and the entire structure that the hotel has. Lunch with regional and international cuisine. Afterwards, departure to recognize the region's fauna and flora, walks through the streams, igapós (river flood times) and visit to the exuberant Sumaúma, considered by the indigenous people to be “the mother” of trees. The same reconnaissance tour includes a visit to the ruins of the old Ariaú Towers hotel, which was once the largest jungle hotel in the world recognized by the Guinness Book. Return to the Amazônia Jungle Hotel. Before dinner, we went looking for alligators in the Ariaú River, where the encounter with the animal is certain, as the river has a large concentration of the Açu and Tinga species. The guide focuses the flashlight on the banks of the river and shines the light on an alligator, which becomes paralyzed. The eyes turn red under the spotlight, pointing out their location. Return to the Hotel for dinner with regional and international cuisine.
2nd Day
Breakfast with typical foods and fruits from the region. After breakfast, go for a walk in the jungle. On this tour it is advisable to wear closed shoes, pants and long-sleeved shirts, if the guest does not have long-sleeved shirts, we sell repellents in our hotel that solve the problem. The tour takes place on little explored trails, our guide will teach you about survival in the forest, providing explanations about wildlife and showing plants that are edible, medicinal and useful for several other functions. Return to the Hotel. Lunch with regional and international cuisine. In the afternoon, there is a fishing trip for the famous piranha and other fish from the Amazon region, where our chef is available to treat the caught fish to be served at dinner, if requested by the guest. Return to the Hotel for dinner with regional and international cuisine.
3rd Day
Breakfast with typical foods and fruits from the region. After breakfast, tour to visit a floating structure where you will interact with pink dolphins and visit an indigenous community. Interaction with the pink dolphins is always accompanied by an instructor who feeds the animals and encourages them to jump out of the water, providing an experience of swimming in the largest river in the world in complete safety and unparalleled photo opportunities. . After interacting with the pink dolphins, visit the Kubeua indigenous tribe, an extremely receptive tribe, where we can observe indigenous ways of life, culture, rituals and traditions. Return to the Amazonia Jungle. Lunch with regional and international cuisine. Afterwards, visit a house where a family of riverside caboclos lives. The caboclo will impart knowledge about their way of life in harmony with nature and demonstrate, among other things, how açaí is harvested and how cassava flour is made, the main economic activity in the region. Return to the hotel. Dinner with regional and international cuisine.
4th Day
The day starts very early with the sunrise observation tour. During the tour, we will observe the beautiful and varied colors of the Amazon sky under the birdsong. Breakfast with typical foods and fruits from the region. After breakfast, lunch with regional and international cuisine. After lunch, leave for the night in the jungle. This tour consists of a totally immersive experience in the Amazon rainforest, accompanied by guides using only a flashlight as a location tool and all the experience they have in the region. With basic notions of survival in practice, including the construction of a camp where guests will spend the night in suspended hammocks to avoid the nocturnal animals that roam the forest, and the production of dinner, the guide will build a fire where the main regional food will be roasted, grilled fish and typical side dishes. At night it is filled with stories and legends told by Amazonian folklore guides.
5th Day
The day in the jungle starts early with birdsong and animal noises nearby. After deactivating the camp, return to the hotel. Breakfast with typical foods and fruits from the region. After coffee, the guest is invited to plant an Amazonian tree seedling, symbolizing humanity's connection with nature, thus facilitating everyone's commitment to preserving the Amazon. Lunch with regional and international cuisine. Return to Manaus for the tour to visit the majestic phenomenon of the meeting of the waters, recreational fishing at Pirarucu and visit to the floating community of Catalão. With a car, we leave the hotel and go to Porto da Ceasa, the location in Manaus closest to the meeting of the waters. On this tour, we first stop at our largest natural postcard, which is where the Solimões River or Amazon River meets the Rio Negro. It is possible to have the experience of putting your hand underwater and feeling the difference between the temperatures of the rivers, one of the main factors that prevent the waters from mixing for 8 kilometers. After meeting the rivers, we visit the floating community of Catalão, which has churches, markets, grocery stores, selective collection and even a school, all on floating structures to follow the seasonality of the rivers. Finally, recreational Pirarucus fishing, fish that rank as the largest fish with freshwater scales in the world. We go to a floating structure with artificial tanks that are breeding grounds for Pirarucus, some of them weigh up to 150 kg and you can feel the strength of these fish as soon as they take the bait. Amateur fishing rods are used without the use of hooks so that they do not hurt the fish. After the tour, return to dry land and transfer to the guests desired location within the urban limits of Manaus.
